"The critique will be critiqued" is my current thought right now as this is my first time critiquing an artwork, but I couldn't help myself! This is an amazing piece of artwork, and based from my understanding of what's going on, it will be used to enter a Cute Monster contest. I guess I'll take this in bullet points, I'm really not used to this.. - I really love the simplicity of this artwork, even though it has some really neat textural designs around some of the edges, which I find interesting because it's sort of gives it this "non-simplistic" look, which is awesome! - Cute Monsters, a lot of times any artwork that involves the word cute has an obscene amount of colors, and colors are good, but not when it's being abused to a point it strains to look. This artwork, however, has limited its color to a few main colors and their shades, and contrasted each color against another to give more focus to little critter. - I would totally wear a shirt with that design on it. - Last, but not least, and I saved it for this moment, the design. Oh my god, I love it! I know that probably made no sense so I'll try to explain myself. The whole artwork/design reminds me of something out of an old English movie, and for some reason makes me feel that this critter belonged to Shakespeare. I absolutely love it!
Oh, this is fucking cute, I'm sorry, it just is.
I personally wish the owner of this submission the best in winning the contest.
