Red Riding Hood and the Wolf

I've suddenly fallen head-over-heels in love with this piece!!

First off, what's really interesting is the way the characters are clearly picked out by colour.

The viewer can easliy see what's what in this picture without it looking too plain and simple.

The flowing lines of the trees, and the objects in the scene (as well as the juxtaposition between bright, vivid colours and more earthy tones) recall to me the style of Art Nouveau posters (in particular, those drawn by the artist, Toulouse-Latraec) I can just imagine Little Red Riding Hood as some brighly-garbed can-can dancer.

I'm also a sucker for texturing in digital artwork (which appears to be used here) Absolutely delightful!!
